๐ŸŽฏ Spainโ€™s annual tomato throwing festival was cancelled this year. Instead, Heinz Ketchup bought tomatoes from the local farmers, supporting the local community, and turned them into a limited edition, with a squashed tomato label.

๐Ÿ›„ La Tomatina started in 1945 in Buรฑol, Spain, and receives annually more than 30,000 tourists that throw each other more than 150 tons of tomatoes. It is now a Festival of Interest to International Tourists.

Apart from its success, some questions have been raised about La Tomatina being a waste of food. However, most of the tomatoes used during the event are rotten.

And, while you order your fries, remember: Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad!
